Bishop to Mammoth Lakes Recreational Weather Forecast

June 12th, 2023 @ 9 AM – The endless cut-off low season for California continues. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms along with light to moderate rain possible at times today. Snow levels will be up above 11,000 feet with lower levels seeing snow under any strong storms that develop today.

Thunderstorms will become more isolated starting Tuesday and the area will see a brief warming trend into Saturday before a big old trough settles in from the NW.  The result of that low by late next weekend will be cooler temperatures and drier weather expected.

Temperatures to start the week will be in the low to mid-50s around Main Lodge. Overnight lows are expected down into the mid-30s. Winds will be in the light range except in areas where thunderstorms develop and go off.

For Mammoth Mountain, temperatures will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s, with nighttime lows in the low to mid-30s. Winds be light at 5-15 MPH unless a big Thunder Storm fires off, and there could be gusts in the 25-50 MPH range. Later in the week highs at Main Lodge will warm up into the upper 50s to lower 60s with nighttime lows into the lower 40s.

Mammoth Lakes temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s, with overnight lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s with light winds. There will also be a chance of Thunders Storms during the afternoon hours.

For Bishop and the Round Valley, temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s, with nighttime lows in the low to mid-50s. Afternoon winds will be in the 5-15 MPH range with a slight chance of Thunder Storms.
